Alona Bondarenko beats her sister Kateryna in Ponte Vedra

Alona Bondarenko defeated her sister Kateryna Bondarenko 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the second round of The MPS Group Championships in Florida.

Alona Bondarenko fell behind 3-1 in the second set after losing the first. She then broke serve the remainder of the set to win. The streak included a 13-deuce game.

The Ukrainians traded games early in the third set and were tied at 3-3 before Alona Bondarenko broke twice and won the final three games.

Alona Bondarenko will play next against the winner of the match between Nadia Petrova and Madison Keys.
