Happy to be back / May 25, 2009
I was quite pleased with my first round match yesterday. I served well for most of the match and I hit a lot of winners. There is a lot to improve on, but for a Grand Slam first round, it was pretty good.

My opponent Sara Errani played very well. She wasn’t making many mistakes and gave me a tough match. I’m happy to be through and playing my next match on Wednesday.

It’s strange to play your first match at a Grand Slam on a Sunday, and then have two days without matches. I’ll be practising today and tomorrow, so they are not really days off, but now that I am through to the second round so early, I am happy with the schedule.

I have so many great memoires from Paris, not only from last year but previous years too. I still remember my match against Mauresmo here four years ago. Four years! It doesn’t seem that long ago at all!

After my match yesterday I did my regular media routine, which includes press conferences in English and Serbian and some TV interviews. Then I visited the Eurosport commentary booth on Chatrier court, where I had played my match.

I watched the Safin-Sidorenko match with the British Eurosport commentator for a little bit, and joined in with commentary. It was fun and the view they have of the action is very nice indeed.

Love
